KARAK

Langsuir

Budak Sekolah (merayau-rayau)

Wanita Tua

Bas Lama

Penunggang Motor (Kepala ada badan tak ada)

Perempuan Bawa Anak (batu nisan)

Pontianak

Hantu Pocong

Hantu yang Makan orang (Paling popular)

Volkswagen kuning(dah lupa ada dekat karak @ lebuh Raya Jelapang).

MAKA TERSEBUTLAH KISAH….

Ketika kembalik kedua membantu, ia turut menerima nasib sama apabila tiba-tiba mengalami masalah mekanikal pula.

Jalan Lama Karak

Competitive Strategy In The SPACE Matrix

The SPACE Matrix or more formally, the Strategic Position and Action Evaluation Matrix recommends one of four basic strategic approaches for a business and today I’m going to focus on the Competitive Strategy dimension.
This is when the business is in a good position in its marketplace but its financial strength is insufficient to compensate for environmental instability.

What Is The SPACE Matrix

The SPACE  matrix assesses the strategic position of a business along four dimensions:
  • Industry attractiveness
    .
  • Competitive advantage
    .
  • Environmental stability
    .
  • Financial strength
Combining these four dimensions provides four broad strategic directions:
  • Aggressive strategy
    .
  • Defensive strategy
    .
  • Conservative strategy
    .
  • Competitive strategy
Competitive strategy in the SPACE matrix

Competitive Strategy In The SPACE Matrix

When Does The SPACE Matrix Recommend Following A Competitive Strategy?

The competitive strategy approach is recommended when:
The business scores well on the Industry Attractiveness / Competitive Advantage  (IA/CA)axis of the SPACE matrix but unfavourably on the Financial Strength /  Environmental Stability (FS/ES) axis.
The high IA/CA score can be when:
  • The industry is considered attractive and the company has competitive advantages over its rivals (a very strong position.
    .
  • The industry is considered attractive and the business is neutral on competitive advantage.
    .
  • The industry is reasonable but the business has a strong competitive advantage.
The low FS/ES score can be when:
  • The environment is unstable and the company is weak financially.
    .
  • The environment is considered to be unstable and the business has modest financial resources.
    .
  • The business is weak financially but environmental stability is reasonable.

What Does A Competitive Strategy In The SPACE Matrix Involve?

The key strategic imperative is to  acquire financial strength to compensate for the environmental instability so that the business can then follow an aggressive strategy.
The business needs to split its attention between strengthening the balance sheet and improving the underlying profitability of its sales.
To strengthen the balance and to provide the funds for expansion, it can:
  • Raise extra share capital or even long term loans. A private business can turn to private equity in terms of business angels or venture capital firms to provide cash although this will dilute the interest of the current shareholders.
    .
  • Merge with a cash rich company who is looking for opportunities to expand.
    .
  • Form alliances to gain access to tangible and intangible assets without having to incur high investment costs.
    .
  • Improving profitability will also lead to strengthening the balance sheet provided the gains aren’t withdrawn by the owners. This will take time to build up cash and equity.
To improve profitability of the business and take advantage of its strong combined position on the industry attractiveness /  competitive advantage axis, the business should:
  • Reduce its fixed and variable costs provided it doesn’t damage the competitive advantage. Innovate to improve productivity.
    .
  • Emphasise the differentiation competitive advantages, make sure they are communicated well to the market and increase prices to improve margins. This action will depend on where the business is on the customer value map.
    .
  • Expand into new markets and products where the business is confident it will be profitable see the Ansoff Growth matrix.

What To Look Out For Following A Competitive Strategy

The intention of the competitive strategy is to boost profitability and balance sheet strength so that it can move into an aggressive strategy.
The business must make sure that its hard-nosed emphasis on profitability does not undermine its competitive advantage. Businesses are often poor at cutting costs strategically since it involves hard decisions to save some areas – perhaps even increasing investment – while cutting back in others. The 10% off all costs is easier to manage and looks fairer to employees in particular but it risks undermining key capabilities and driving away essential staff who want to move to more secure employment.

How to Use EXIF Data to Learn From Master Photographers

exif There’s a hidden advantage to digital photography, and it’s called Exif. See what it is, how it can help you, and how you can use it to learn from skilled photographers all over the internet.

Exif can be like a textbook full of how tos for the resourceful photo geek. Keep reading to see where you can find the Exif data, and learn the secrets of the masters.

What is Exif?

sshot-42
Exif is an acronym representing “Exchangeable Image File Format.” In photography, it is a kind of metadata that is usually created when a photograph is exposed and written to disk. “Metadata,” in this case, means information about the images taken. Modern digital cameras (cellphone cameras, too!) can sense all sorts of data when you take pictures. For example, it will usually include the shutter speed, ISO, and aperture settings, as well as information on the kind of lens used, the brand of camera, the location the pictures were taken (geo-tagging), and even the author of the images.
Exif is not perfectly standardized. Images often have gaps, missing values for some items which can never be recovered. Certain older photo editing programs can also clumsily strip out Exif when saving, although nearly any modern program for editing photos should read and preserve Exif in images.

How Can I Read It?

sshot-44
Unless you know about the Exif data in your images, you might be surprised to find out that the websites you upload photographs to seem to know more about your photographs than you do. There are a number of ways to get at the image metadata, and learn about the images on your machine. Here are a few:
sshot-45
Adobe Bridge: Bridge, a program free with Photoshop, has built in Exif reading, and is a fine resource for photographers.
3557356619_5296294be9_b
Adobe Lightroom: Lightroom is possibly even better for photographers than Photoshop, and also handily reads Exif.
sshot-49sshot-50
Windows 7: Exif is becoming so common that operating systems can read the data right out of the box. Right click an image file on your computer, choose “Properties,” then pick the “Details” tab for a wealth of Exif.
sshot-51
Mac OS X: Mac OS will also give you some of the more important Exif right out of the box. Simply select an image and press Cmd + I to “Get Info.” You’ll find Exif under the “More Info” tab.
sshot-53 sshot-52
Free Software: Shareware Exif Viewer for Windows and Simple Exif Viewer for OS X are programs that provide full Exif data for free. Simple Exif for OS X in particular is useful, as OS X doesn’t provide full Exif detail out of the box.

What Can I Learn From It?

sshot-55
One of the interesting things about Exif is that it often persists after uploading photographs and then downloading them again. Download interesting photographs from Flickr, DeviantArt, or pro photo site 500px, and data will most likely remain intact. The Exif will tell you what the photographer has used to achieve the image and give you some idea what it takes to put together a gorgeous photograph.
sshot-56
We can learn a lot from this Exif. Here’s some of what we can gleam from this data:
  • The photographer uses a Canon camera, model number EOS 60D. If you are in the market for a new camera, check the Exif of photographers you like. If you find lots of great pictures taken by one brand or model of camera, buy it! It’s like a personal recommendation, only better!
  • This photo was taken using an 85mm lens with a Max Aperture of f/1.75 (this could be called functionally f/1.8).
  • This means it is a sort of medium telephoto lens (helps to blur the background) that allows in quite a bit of light.
  • This lens seems functionally similar to this Canon lens.
  • A quick shutter speed was used in combination of a wide open aperture setting to create depth of field.
  • The photographer wanted a blurred background, so a wide open aperture reduces depth of field, allowing for nice blur behind the subject.
  • As this aperture setting allows in lots of light, a quick shutter speed and medium-fast ISO setting were both used to compensate, giving the image the proper exposure.
  • The faster ISO setting of 640 also created some grain texture in the image. Judging from the textured nature of the image, this seems intentional.
Obviously, it takes some knowledge of photography to gleam that much information from an Exif. But if you want to take similar pictures, you’re given a sort of blueprint of the settings you can use—real world usage, with an artistic result. Let’s take a look at one more.

sshot-57
You can learn a world of interesting facts from Exif, although there are sometimes disappointing gaps. The Exif has no information on whether or not the image has been edited after shooting, which would have been good to know, if you hoped to replicate this effect. Let’s take a look at our data and see what we can learn from this photo.
sshot-58
  • This photographer is a Nikon user, shooting with the D90.
  • The aperture is stopped down from the max opening of f/3.8 to f/13.
  • One reason is that the photographer is controlling light primarily with the aperture, preferring create an image with a long exposure of 30 seconds.
  • A highly stopped down aperture also increases depth of field, allowing for good detail in a cityscape image.
  • With an exposure of 30 seconds, this photographer was undoubtedly using a tripod.
  • A focal length of 21mm means this shot was made using a wide angle lens, likely to capture a wider, more panoramic image.
  • A wide angle lens also creates a greater feel of depth compared to a normal or telephoto lens—distant objects feel further away.
  • While it still technically qualifies as a wide angle lens, the focal length for the 35mm film format is a 31mm focal length. Most digital SLR cameras are in the 35mm format—this means they take pictures similar to common film cameras.

What is Port Forwarding?

What is Port Forwarding?

There are a couple of concepts you need to know before you can understand port forwarding. I'm going to make a couple broad statements that are almost always true. For simplicity lets assume they are true for now. 1.) Every device on the internet has at least one ip address. The IP address is a number that is used to identify a device. For more information on ip addresses refer to our What is an IP Address page.
2.) Every IP address is divided up into many ports. When one computer sends data to another computer, it sends it from a port on an ip address to a port on an ip address. For more information on ports refer to our What is a Port page.
3.) A port can only be used by one program at a time.
Now that we've got those general concepts out of the way let's talk about NAT. NAT is an acronym for Network Address Translation. NAT takes one ip address and basically breaks it into many ip addresses.

BasicNetwork.jpg

Here the external ip address is broken into two internal ip addresses. The first ip address "IP Address1" is the gateway. While "IP Address2" is the ip address of the first computer. Take note that the router has two ip addresses. It has the external ip address, and an internal ip address which acts as the gateway for every computer on the network.
NetworkVisibility.jpg

Excuse my rough drawing. Computers on the internal network can only "see" internal ip addresses. So computers on the internal network can not send data directly to a computer outside of the network. When a computer on the network wants to send data to a computer outside of the network, it sends the data to the gateway. Remember the gateway is the internal ip address of the router. The router then takes this data and sends it out to the computer on the internet. The router sends the data out of the external ip address. The same thing is true of computers on the internet. A computer outside of the network can not "see" a computer inside of the network. They can only "see" and send data to the external ip address of the router. The router must then decide what to do with this data. Lucky for us NAT takes care of most of the work for us. There are some programs that NAT was not designed to work with, those are the programs we need to set up port forwarding for. Okay take a deep breath! We are on to port forwarding.
Now that you understand the general concepts of a network, explaining port forwarding is easy. When a computer on the internet sends data to the external ip address of the router, the router needs to know what to do with the data. Port Forwarding simply tells the router which computer on the local area network to send the data to. When you have port forwarding rules set up, your router takes the data off of the external ip address:port number and sends that data to an internal ip address:port number. Port Forwarding rules are created per port. So a rule set up for port 53 will only work for port 53.
A port can only be used by one program at a time! Think of how this rule interacts with NAT. Well you've only got one external ip address on your router. When computer 1 is using port 500, it is using port 500 on it's internal ip address. If you have set up a port forwarding rule for computer 1 and port 500, the external ip address's port 500 is also in use. This means that you can only use port 500 on one computer on the network at a time. Using port 500 on two computers at the same time would violate the one program rule, and your data would get messed up. Most routers require you to specify an internal ip address to forward ports to, just for this reason. Some do not, so be aware of this. Port Forwarding rules will only work for one computer at a time!

Nikmat Opening Puase 2011

today 2nd day puasa. still hurt from yesterday. yup yesterday tak sempat bukak internet pon. semalam 1st day puase, the day start quite good. but at 2pm, my car temp went up almost reaching the 'red zone'. i'm like what the flick? quickly rush home, turn-off engine and shower the radiator area. yup steam everywhere. after it cooled down (you think?) i stupidly opened the radiator cap. Allah loves me. the unimaginable hot water went straight for my chest and left arm! still in shock, i couldn't throw any words from my mouth. ran upstairs as fast as i can and just shower myself for sometime. i had never experience this sort of injury. i felt my left chest and left arm not mine anymore. i can move em' but the pain is unbearable.

Then, I looked for the little red box. yup, using my right shaking hands. i opened it. i only take one. i put the butt at the tip of my lips.

Thats It?!

nope and thanks to god, i manage to threw away the lighter and put the cigarette back. "I Can Do This". after Solat asar, i watch futurama to ease the pain. it doesnt do anything, and i said to myself, "Its not that bad". just thinking bout this stupidity make me want to lol. today is the second day of puase. This is my dugaan. i accept it. and its still hurt right now and it is a good experience. Alhamdulillah. and this is much lower level than "The Psychological Cincin Exp".

Gemilangkah Jalurku?

Masa aku kecik, bila aku kenal bendera Amerika, aku mula tertanya2, kenapa bendera Malaysia sama mcm bendera Amerika. Tapi, sebab masa tu aku naif, aku bangga la dgn bendera tu sebagai tanda dan simbol kita negara merdeka. Kurang2, kita tak perlu letak bendera british kecik kat penjuru atas bendera kita.

Norway
Sweden
Denmark
Finland
Iceland
Feroe Island
Tak perlu la aku nak explain pasal bendera2 negara Skandinavia ni sebab it's self explainable. Aku rasa, kalau korang nampak bendera negara yang corak dia mcm gini, is save to say it's one of Scandinavian Nation. Pokok pangkalnya, mereka serumpun. Dan bendera mereka, identiti mereka sejak zaman berzaman, dari dulu lagi. tapi jangan tanya aku, apa maksud warna2 pada bendera diorang ni, aku tak tau dan aku malas nak cari.

Bendera ni kalau aku tak tulis pun pasti korang tau.
Indonesia
Singapura

Aku nak gak dengar komen pekat2 UMNO ni pasal bendera ni, yang mana mengambil motif sang saka merah putih tapi diletakkan keris kat tengah2 tu. Kalau korang tgk video 10 tahun sebelum merdeka, pasti korang tau betapa perjuangan pihak berhaluan kiri untuk merdeka, mcm mana diorang menyampah UMNO ambik bendera diorang dan letak keris kat tengah2 tu.

Yang ni aku kurang arif sket, bila munculnya bendera PAS jenis ni.

Tapi apabila kita namakan ia Jalur Gemilang sedangkan mereka sudah lama memanggil 'The Stripes of Glory'...
